Poker: The poker is used to tamp tobacco and clean permanent screen. Use the poker to remove the trap from the bottom of the pipe, push its tip into the center hole, and give the shaft a light tap. The poker interlocks and holds the parts together. When tension is loose, slightly bend the pod tab to adjust the friction fit.

Tar Trap: Keeping the tar trap surface and the walls of its chamber clean will help pipe to work well. If the trap is stuck in the pipe, heat the bottom to soften any hardened tar before trying to remove. Use Q-Tips, strong alcohol, and food grade acetone to remove tar. To clean the pipe stem, the tar trap must be removed. Use pipe cleaners or break off the head of a paper match, fold as shown, and push through using the blunt end of the poker. The concave tar trap is cleaned with the scoop of the storage pod.

Pod: The convenient 5-bowl pod (tobacco container) is also used to tamp the tobacco. The swivel bowl lid can be used as a handle or closed to snuff out fire, and protects the content of the bowl. Use 5/64 hex wrench to adjust the lid tension screw, moving it as little as possible.

Always keep your pipe parts together to avoid losing them.
